Metala was the first wine ever to win the Jimmy Watson Trophy, forever claiming a place for itself in history. To this day Metala stands as a beacon amongst the great vineyards of the Langhorne Creek. Fruit for the White Label is sourced from exquisite parcels which can trace a heritage back to the original plantings of 1891.
A Gold Medal winning blend of 60% Shiraz and 40% Cabernet from an outstanding vintage in the region - this is dense and dark in colour with intense plum, cherry and blackcurrant fruit characters, supported by hints of eucalypt and liquorice that are typical of the Langhorne Creek. On the palate it is full-bodied and rich, with wonderful, dense blackberry fruit coupled with substantial but soft tannins and an excellent, long finish. 14.5% vol.
